After 2000, the company embarked on the research and development, production and sales of all-terrain vehicles. In 2006, the first large-displacement motorcycle produced and launched in China. In 2010, the world's first hydraulic mechanical stepless dual-flow transmission amphibious vehicle was launched. In 2011, the first large-displacement snowmobile in China was launched. The diesel version of the UTV was launched in 2018. In 2020, the world's first hybrid amphibious all-terrain vehicle was launched. In 2022, the company's ATV, UTV and bobsleigh services were the sole all-terrain vehicle suppliers for the Beijing Winter Olympics, earning high praise from the Organizing Committee.
Origin and Background (1875-1978) Jialing was born during the Self-Strengthening Movement. Its predecessor was the Longhua Branch of the Shanghai Jiangnan Manufacturing Bureau established in 1875. It was one of the earliest enterprises in modern China. After the outbreak of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, it moved to the banks of the Jialing River in Chongqing in 1938 and was renamed the State-owned Jialing Machinery Factory, becoming an important pillar enterprise of the country.
The Rise of the Motorcycle Industry (1979-2000) In 1979, in response to the national call, it began to transform into the production of motorcycles. It launched China's first civilian motorcycle, "Jialing CJ50", pioneering the large-scale production of motorcycles in China and becoming the founder and leader of China's motorcycle industry development. In 1995, the production and sales volume of motorcycles exceeded 1.1 million units. It was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, becoming the "first motorcycle stock in China" and was awarded the title of "King of Motorcycle Production in China". It has ranked first in the industry for more than ten consecutive years, and its products are exported to over 100 countries and regions around the world.
